Position Overview

Aligned Solutions is seeking an experienced Tax Manager on behalf of a well-established and growing public accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished tax professional who enjoys working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax expertise, exceptional client relationship skills, and experience leading tax engagements and mentoring staff within a collaborative public accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities.
Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
Conduct technical tax research and provide practical recommendations to clients and firm leadership.
Identify tax planning opportunities and strategies to help clients minimize tax exposure.
Serve as a trusted advisor by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Collaborate with partners and senior leadership on complex tax matters and consulting engagements.
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals while reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, professional standards, and firm policies.
Assist with workflow management, client communications, and engagement planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
CPA license required.
Master's in Taxation or LLM preferred.
5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Experience with regional or national public accounting firms is highly preferred.
Strong experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for:
- High-net-worth individuals
- Partnerships
- S Corporations
- C Corporations
Strong knowledge of federal tax law, tax planning strategies, and tax research.
Working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting standards.
Experience utilizing tax software and research tools such as CCH, ProSystem fx, or similar platforms.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
