A company is looking for a Network Security Engineer (Firewall) in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities
Review and audit firewall rules, including Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, and Palo Alto configurations
Document and validate firewall rules, identifying asset owners and determining rule necessity
Utilize firewall management tools for discovery, maintenance, and cleanup of firewall policies
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
5+ years of Network Security experience, preferably in an enterprise environment
Current CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CCIE certification
Expert-level experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco Defense Orchestrator
Experience in firewall rule cleanup, audit, and optimization for large deployments (50+ firewalls)
Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or higher certification is preferred
