Overview

NaphCare is hiring a Radiology Technologist - PRN to join our team of medical professionals in Las Vegas NV where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Clark County Detention Center.

As a Correctional Radiology Technologist you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to perform diagnostic x-ray procedures on patients within the facility. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic x-rays for various body structures following physician orders. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to :

  • Pulling filing and scanning all radiological records
  • Scheduling performing and documenting all radiological testing including annual tuberculosis testing and emergency procedures
  • Maintaining inventory stocking re-ordering and replacing radiology supplies
  • Ensure that all equipment related to radiology services is properly maintained and functioning
  • Ensure all state regulations comply with Radiation Control Programs

    • Qualifications

    Experience / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited JCERT program
  • Must possess an active BLS / CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
  • Must pass the facilitys criminal background check and drug screening
  • Proficiency in operating various types of x-ray equipment and other imaging technologies is crucial.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and / or confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with patients staff and physicians
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems independently.
  • Integrity professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies procedures and legal requirements

    • Physical Capabilities :

    Must have the ability to stand for long periods lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds) bend squat reach push pull walk significant distances and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
