JOB DESCRIPTION

WPEC is seeking a creative full-time morning News Photographer.

We want someone who can see beyond the lens and tell compelling stories. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization. Responsibilities include covering daily general news, in-depth features, and investigative assignments. We shoot in full high definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops. Strong editing skills in non-linear editing systems, excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential. A passion for storytelling is crucial.

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of shooting experience and knowledge of editing and photo equipment
  • Team player capable of producing quality stories under tight deadlines
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
  • Ability to shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
  • Ability to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds regularly
  • Avid editing experience preferred
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
