As a Dietary Aide, you will help us support patients' health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day.

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 6 : 30AM - 3 : 00PM or 12 : 30PM - 9 : 00PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events.

Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments.

Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.

Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.

Follow department standards and procedures.

Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

High School Diploma or GED

Six months of experience in food service

Experience working on a team

Hospitality experience

Physical Requirements :

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

Ability to reach with hands and arms.

Ability to talk and hear.

Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.

Personal Protective Equipment :

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
