In the ambulatory care setting across primary care access points, the Outpatient Nurse Manager will guide safe, efficient, and family-centered operations while partnering with specialists and clinic leaders to optimize throughput, access, and exceptional patient experience. You'll lead a team dedicated to providing high-quality outpatient services while collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists in a patient- and family-centered environment. The Outpatient Nurse Manager will report to an Ambulatory Services Director or Chief Nursing Officer and collaborate closely with physician medical directors. This Nurse Manager Outpatient role is supported by assistant nurse managers, charge RNs, educators, and clinical coordinators to ensure strong coverage for staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and education. Typical responsibilities for the RN Outpatient Manager include operational leadership for multiple clinics, budget stewardship, accreditation readiness, policy development, infection prevention alignment, care standardization, patient flow optimization, triage oversight, and service recovery. The Outpatient Nurse Manager will cultivate a friendly, inclusive culture among nurses and a diverse team of therapists, pharmacists, case managers, social workers, and support staffuniting around safety, equity, and consistent, compassionate care.
