A Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health is needed in Aventura, FL at a 467-bed, Level II Trauma Center that is also certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.
The role. This manager oversees the 24/7 operations of a 53-bed Behavioral Health unit serving an adult and geriatric patient census, leading a team of approximately 108 FTEs including behavioral health technicians, registered nurses, and clinical nurse coordinators. Reporting to the Director, the manager is responsible for staff scheduling, hiring input, performance assessment, and disciplinary actions, while driving quality improvement, fiscal accountability, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals. The role requires building collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, and internal and external department staff, while ensuring the unit meets Joint Commission standards and complies with corporate policies and procedures.
What we're looking for. - Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Minimum 3 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a full time Charge Nurse / Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
Schedule. Full-time, days, no weekends.
Compensation. $38.52 - $55.26/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
