The Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in assuring product quality of rooms and public areas. This is a part-time position for the 1 : 30 pm to 10 : 00 pm shifts on Sundays and Mondays.

Responsibilities

  • Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner
  • Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms / suites
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room / suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Inspects plumbing regularly
  • Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs
  • Ensures all appliances are working correctly
  • Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety

    • Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One to two years of related experience and / or training preferred
  • Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Basic computer skills
