  • Conduct performance reviews and classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness, provide meaningful feedback, establish performance expectations, and support continuous improvement in teaching practice and student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Talent & Culture to attract, recruit, and onboard qualified faculty who are committed to student success.

Academic Operations & Resource Management

  • Make recommendations with regard to budgeting and resource allocation to prioritize impactful and sustainable use of resources.
  • Oversee facility use, equipment procurement, and scheduling for program needs to ensure learning environments effectively support teaching and learning and program needs.
  • Determine faculty workload and provide recommendations regarding course scheduling to meet student needs across the district.
  • Align departmental work with college and academic division strategies, connecting everyday operations to student success priorities.

Student Support & Academic Administration

  • Support a consistent set of processes and policies for student conduct, including managing challenging student classroom behavior and code of conduct infractions, as well as for student grievances and complaints.
  • Ensure faculty and program teams work to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.

College & Community Engagement

  • Participate in college committees to influence academic policies and decision-making.
  • As directed by Academic Dean, engage with advisory committees to facilitate conversation to inform programs.
  • As directed by Academic Dean, operationalize K12 work.
  • Based on program vitality data, provide input to the dean regarding an academic portfolio that reflects the needs of the region.
