SM: Perinatal Biology - (TWO YEAR TERM, Full-time, Day Shift) -
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant Professor position to join a basic science-translationally relevant research program whose focus is on remodeling at the external fetomaternal interface in preparation for birth. Expertise in molecular and/or cell biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and perinatal models for translational research are preferred. Experiences in mechanisms of inflammation-mediated tissue structure changes, minimally invasive imaging, image analyses, and microscopy would be useful to promote collaborative interactions across basic and clinical science investigators. A minimum of two years of experience in an area of specialization is required with demonstrated knowledge of current relevant technology to generate data, along with evidence of competent written and verbal communication in a professional, positive, and effective manner. Time management and critical thinking skills are needed to successfully organize and prioritize workload. This 2-year non-tenure track position provides the opportunity to develop research independence and to apply for grant support. Ph.D. or M.D. required.

Able speak in English with professional quality. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.Performs other duties as needed.
