The Health & Community Navigator Supervisor (M2) provides day-to-day leadership for Health & Community Navigators supporting employees across Distribution Centers, helping ensure consistent execution, strong field support, and reliable program operations. This role supports the team through changing site priorities, resolving day-to-day operational issues, and uses field insights to recommend practical improvements that strengthen care delivery, associate engagement, and workflow efficiency.

The supervisor uses data, reporting tools, and available technology to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, identify trends, and support consistent, repeatable processes.

This individual must have data savviness, with the ability to interpret performance results and recommend changes that improve outcomes. The supervisor manages program-related travel, supplies, and expenses within approved budget ranges, monitors spend and supports responsible resource use.

The supervisor demonstrates professional presence and clear communication skills while partnering with site leaders, HR, internal partners, and community partners. The role is expected to be in the field with the team, modeling best practices, identifying improvement tactics, responding to site-level operational needs, and supporting program value, efficiency, and results.

Key Responsibilities (% of Time):

  • Lead and Develop Team Performance (20%)
  • Provide direct leadership and accountability for Health & Community Navigators to support consistent execution, associate engagement, and team performance.
  • Set clear team priorities, role expectations, service standards, and performance goals aligned to program objectives and business needs.
  • Coach Navigators through regular 1:1s, field observation, onboarding, and real-time feedback to improve consistency, confidence, and impact.
  • Lead team meetings, knowledge sharing, and professional development activities that translate lessons learned into repeatable best practices.
  • Use data, associate feedback, and site-level insights to identify opportunities, close performance gaps, and strengthen service delivery.
  • Support career development, engagement, and retention by building capability, reinforcing accountability, and recognizing high-impact performance.
  • Address performance concerns through timely coaching, development planning, and corrective action processes when applicable.
  • Support Program Operations, Efficiency, and Resource Use (40%)
  • Manage day-to-day program execution, resolve operational issues, and use data, available technology, and process improvement to support efficiency, care delivery impact, and consistent program performance.
  • Monitor operational performance, key program metrics, utilization trends, associate needs, and site-level results to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Interpret data and recommend practical next steps to support care navigation, workflow efficiency, associate experience, and consistent service delivery.
  • Use available tools, dashboards, and reporting processes to streamline documentation, reduce manual work, and support timely follow-up.
  • Resolve daily operational issues, staffing changes, workload shifts, and urgent business needs while maintaining service continuity and quality.
  • Review documentation, activity tracking, and reporting for accuracy, consistency, compliance, and readiness for manager or stakeholder review.
  • Manage program-related travel, supplies, and expenses within approved budget ranges to support responsible resource use and operational discipline.
  • Prepare concise operational updates and performance insights that summarize impact, resource use, risks, and recommended actions for manager or leader review.
  • Partner with Stakeholders to Support Program Goals (10%)
  • Partner with Distribution Center leadership, HR, internal partners, and community partners to understand site needs, support operational priorities, and strengthen program execution.
  • Build effective working relationships with Distribution Center leadership, HR, site teams, internal partners, vendors, and community organizations to support program goals.
  • Communicate program updates, associate impact, resource needs, and operational issues clearly and professionally.
  • Use stakeholder feedback and field observations to support practical improvements in engagement and consistent service delivery.
  • Coordinate awareness campaigns, education events, and engagement activities that support associate access, health literacy, and resource navigation.
  • Surface risks, barriers, and opportunities early, and share recommendations for manager or leader review.
  • Lead in the Field and Improve Site Execution (30%)
  • Work directly with assigned sites and Navigators to model best practices, troubleshoot barriers, strengthen associate engagement, and support consistent service delivery.
  • Provide direct field support to one or more Distribution Centers while maintaining visibility into frontline needs, associate barriers, and site-specific opportunities.
  • Model high-quality associate engagement, follow-up, health literacy education, benefits navigation, and community resource connection practices.
  • Partner with associates to identify barriers, connect them to appropriate resources, and document outcomes that support visibility into associate support and service impact.
  • Observe field execution, identify improvement opportunities, and support recommended adjustments that strengthen consistency, efficiency, and associate experience.
  • Escalate recurring barriers, operational shifts, and emerging needs with practical recommendations to support program performance.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience in operations, community health, employee support, or field-based program delivery may be considered.
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience with 13+ years of people's leadership, field operations, program implementation, or team coaching experience.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, resolve operational issues, coach performance, and reinforce accountability in a changing environment.
  • Data and technology: Data savvy with the ability to interpret results, use reporting tools, support technology-enabled workflows, and translate insights into practical actions.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional presence and the ability to explain program updates, operational impact, risks, resource needs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Preferred: CHW certification; experience with SDoH, care navigation, employee engagement, Distribution Center operations, or field-based teams.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid role requiring onsite presence at Distribution Centers and virtual work. Travel estimated at 2035%.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform computer-based work and participate in onsite engagement activities in Distribution Center environments.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$73,300 - $122,100
