Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapeutic support to patients under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists. They assist in implementing treatment plans to promote patient recovery and functional independence.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the implementation of individual treatment plans for patients.
Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
Prepare treatment areas and gather necessary equipment for therapy sessions.
Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and activities.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Adhere to protocol and safety standards during all patient interactions.

Qualifications:

Possess an active OTA credential/license in the applicable state.
Obtain a minimum of an associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain current CPR and BLS certifications.
Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
