Job Description Physical Therapist - Pediatrics Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist specializing in Pediatrics for a contract assignment in Murrieta, California. This role involves providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to pediatric patients, focusing on improving mobility, function, and developmental milestones. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic clinical environment, contributing to positive patient outcomes through individualized treatment plans. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for a diverse pediatric patient population, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families within a supportive healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy treatments for pediatric patients with various developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on patient assessments, medical history, and family input. Utilize a range of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and specialized equipment appropriate for pediatric populations. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and strategies to promote functional independence. Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience as a Physical Therapist. Demonstrated clinical experience working with a pediatric patient population. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in pediatric physical therapy assessment and intervention techniques. Strong understanding of child development and common pediatric conditions. Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of pediatric patients. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Competency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Shift Details This is a 20-week contract assignment. The schedule consists of four (4) 10-hour day shifts per week. Start Date: July 13, 2026. End Date: November 30, 2026. Call requirements and weekend rotations are not specified. Licensing Requirements Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the State of California. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
