Position responsible for performing routine but somewhat varied clerical duties for assigned department. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to support our General Surgery (9th floor) and Rehabilitation (8th floor) departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a foundational knowledge of basic medical terminology, and previous experience in either direct patient care or an administrative role within a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include coordinating with nurses and doctors, assisting with patient discharge processes, transporting specimens, managing supplies and equipment, and providing exceptional customer service. The role also involves shift coverage from 3 PM to 11 PM and may include other duties as assigned. Familiarity with EPIC and Microsoft Office is strongly preferred. Monday - Friday 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : High school diploma preferred.
Licenses / Certifications : (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
- Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Must have a minimum of two years of clerical experience.
