[job_card.job_description]Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Effective organizational and leadership abilities. Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently; may involve exposure to blood or infectious materials.

This full-time day position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a busy oncology chemotherapy clinic located in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States.
Summary
As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care tailored to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments. You will also assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients to identify care needs and organize appropriate nursing interventions.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe clinical environment and uphold required competencies.
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Monitor quality of care using outcome-based indicators.
- Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience
No prior experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.
