Exciting opportunity to step up into a leadership role and lead our skilled team on Mark Donaldson Ward for 1 year starting February 2026.

About the Role

Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our 30-bed haematology and oncology ward.

Youll be leading a fast-paced department and collaborating with a wide multi-disciplinary team dedicated to ensuring our patients receive holistic individualised care.

This role will see you :

• Be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources
• Oversee the day to day running of the ward skilled in ensuring hospital polices are adhered to especially recognising and responding to clinical deterioration
• Organise staff education ensuring mandatory competencies are up to date
• Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
• Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
• Assist in shaping organisational strategy improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.
