About IHI
At Innovative Hematology, Inc. (IHI), we offer a future where people with rare blood disorders flourish. Our experts provide the highest quality comprehensive services and holistic care to patients with bleeding, clotting, and other hematologic disorders, and to their families.
What You Will Do
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for safely filling and dispensing prescriptions to patients, assisting the Director of Pharmacy Operations with the overall pharmacy operations, directing the work of pharmacy technician(s), and collaborating with IHI physicians, nursing staff, and pharmacy staff to ensure patient medication needs are being met in an accurate, friendly, and expedient manner.
The Opportunity
- Assist in inventorying, ordering, storage, distribution, and disposal of prescribed medications in accordance with governmental regulations. Ensure that adequate inventory levels exist to meet patient needs.

Verify all aspects of pharmacy technician medication preparation and ensure that product substitutions are made safely and accurately.
- Maintain prescription records for each patient and update records with new information in a timely manner. Monitor drug therapy by evaluating patient medical history for significant drug interactions, adverse reactions, therapeutic drug dosages, and compliance with prescription orders.
- Counsel and educate patients to prevent potential drug interactions and promote optimal drug therapy through proper use.
- Prevent, detect, monitor, and resolve medication-related issues through pharmaceutical education and consultation with providers.
- Contribute to IHI research study efforts as requested by the Medical Director.
- If designated the Pharmacist in Charge, assume responsibility for the legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection requirements and other state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
