Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching position is available for the current school year at a middle school near Everett, WA. This contract role is onsite only and requires a Washington State Special Education (SPED) license or certification. The role supports a caseload of 15 students and offers part-time hours Monday through Friday, approximately three hours per day, totaling 15 hours weekly. The contract is set to end on June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within the special education program.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 15 middle school students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive educational support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEP compliance.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of effective individualized education plans.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid Washington State Special Education certification or license.
  • Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
