About the Department
The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Graduate programs are offered with specialties in Computing and Systems, Construction Engineering, Water Resources, Coastal and Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanics, Transportation Systems and Materials, Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineering, and Mechanics and Materials.
With over 60 faculty, more than 770 undergraduate students, and over 300 graduate students, NC State University's Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) is one of the largest departments in the country and more importantly, one of the best. In 2022, our Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering degrees were ranked at 21st and 26th in the country, respectively.

Essential Job Duties
We are seeking scholars and professionals with expertise in civil engineering with a focus on construction engineering who are excited about educating the next generation of engineers. This position contributes to maintaining and enhancing the department's Construction Engineering program, the oldest ABET-accredited construction engineering program in the United States. While the department expects to hire at the assistant teaching professor level, outstanding candidates at all academic ranks are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Education and Experience
An earned doctorate in civil engineering with a focus on construction, or equivalent professional or teaching experience.
