Logistics Specialist
Payrate: $22.00 - $25.00/hr. The main function of a logistics specialist is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. A typical logistics specialist is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, costs, etc.
Responsibilities
- Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
- Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions.
- Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years related experience required.

- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $22.00 - $25.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
