A day in the life.

As our Senior Operations Specialist on the McGriff Corporate Operations - Certificate of Insurance team, you will serve as a subject matter expert for the client-facing Certificates of Insurance (COI) process and support the successful execution of offshore operations for this function. You will play a key role in ensuring the COI process is transitioned and executed accurately, consistently, and efficiently by offshore teams. You will provide day-to-day support and guidance on COI-related activities, including reviewing certificate requests, answering process and coverage questions, supporting implementation efforts, assisting with training and knowledge transfer, and helping maintain service quality and process adherence.

The ideal candidate brings strong Property & Casualty insurance knowledge, hands-on experience with complex Certificates of Insurance, and the ability to read contracts, interpret insurance requirements, and support others through operational and process-related questions.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Certificates of Insurance process and related operational activities

  • Support onshore and offshore teams with COI questions, issue resolution, and process guidance

  • Review certificate requests and help ensure accurate handling of coverage requirements and certificate issuance

  • Read and interpret contracts, insurance requirements, and policy language to support compliant COI processing

  • Assist with implementation activities, transition support, and project work related to the offshore COI function

  • Support setup, go-live, and stabilization efforts for transitioned COI work

  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and updating SOPs, job aids, desk procedures, and knowledge articles for COI processes

  • Assist in delivering training and knowledge transfer sessions for offshore and onshore team members

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to help ensure process consistency, service quality, and operational readiness

  • Help identify process gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities within COI workflows

  • Partner with leadership on standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with teammates, servicing teams, and third-party vendors to support client service and operational excellence

  • Help monitor adherence to established processes, service expectations, and quality standards

Our future colleague.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • College Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience

  • Property & Casualty Insurance License

  • Five years of experience within the insurance industry

  • Experience handling Complex Certificates of Insurance

  • Ability to read contracts and insurance policies

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters while prioritizing responsibilities and proactively accomplishing goals

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Knowledge of insurance specific systems and applications

We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Don’t be shy. If you’re close, we’d be very interested in meeting you.

Valuable benefits.

We value and respect the impact our colleagues make every day both inside and outside of work. Our culture promotes colleague well-being through robust benefits programs and resources, professional and personal development opportunities, and fulfillment through meaningful work.
