Pay Range
- Salary: $71,000 - $95,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department, ensuring high-quality, timely repairs and exceptional customer communication. This role leads a team of technicians and support staff, drives operational efficiency, enforces safety and compliance standards, and upholds Belkorp Ag's values while fostering a culture of trust and professionalism. The ideal candidate will proactively manage job status, labor performance, and customer updates, while maintaining a clean, safe, and community-engaged shop environment.
As a Service Supervisor, you will:
- Know the status of every job in your shop and provide updates to customers and the store manager.
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates for all Service jobs and promptly communicate any changes.
- Schedule shop and field work orders.
- Supervise and train shop technicians, service writers, and other staff as needed.
- Lead recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities within the Service department.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and ensure all employees complete required safety training and policy sign-offs.
- Approve payroll, paid time off, and other leave according to company policy.
- Support technicians with diagnostics and troubleshooting as needed.
- Oversee quality control to ensure repairs are completed correctly and efficiently the first time.
- Stay current on John Deere and competitive products to support technician performance.
- Ensure no employee operates equipment without proper training and inspection.
- Maintain a clean, professional shop environment aligned with our "Everything Speaks" philosophy.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance, safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Enforce all safety rules, procedures, and Job Safety Analyses for all tasks.
- Execute Belkorp Ag's service strategy to achieve departmental financial goals.
- Maintain an average labor performance rate of at least 80%.
- Monitor department and individual performance relative to labor sales and expense targets.
- Lead by example in driving Belkorp Ag's mission, vision, and values.
- Foster a culture of trust between customers and the Service team.
- Act as a Belkorp Ag ambassador by engaging in local community associations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your leadership team.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 2+ years of experience in leadership in a similar environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate others with strong interpersonal skills.
- Process and execution focused.
- Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
- Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service department operations.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of our equipment.
- Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and other basic computer functions.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
