About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in Indiana!

Our client in Indiana seeks a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule, with hours varying between 8am-5pm on Mon, Wed, Fri, and 10am-7pm on Tue, Thu. You will provide comprehensive care, including medication management, patient education, and referrals, while contributing to continuity of care and EMR charting for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Medication management
• Educating patients of home treatment
• Referring patients to specialists
• Ensuring continuity of care between visits
• Charting and notation for each patient consult in the EMR
• Performing peer reviews
• Working in conjunction with the CMO and medical team
• Treating a culturally and economically diverse patient population
• Providing general family medicine care (cold, cough, flu, etc.)
• Managing chronic diseases (Diabetes, heart conditions, etc.)
• Conducting physical examinations
• Delivering preventative care
• Treating acute and long-term medical conditions

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Family Medicine
• EMR: eClinicalWorks
• Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Patients per day: 20-22
• LOA: 120 Days
• Staffing Mix: MD, APPs, RNs
