Market Coordinator Pet Food

The Market Coordinator for Pet Food is a critical role responsible for driving the success of our pet food team. This position serves as the central point of contact for coordinating all account activities, ensuring seamless interaction between customers, production facilities, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, combining strong inventory management skills with exceptional customer service to uphold our commitment to quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate service of finished product, including inventory management, logistics, and scheduling to meet manufacturing site and customer needs.
  2. Develop and maintain proficiency in Oracle sales, procurement, and inventory management programs.
  3. Collaborate closely with Product Quality and Safety teams to ensure all products meet our rigorous quality standards.
  4. Serve as the primary communication link between sales managers, customers, manufacturing sites, and customer service teams.
  5. Complete forms, paperwork, etc. in connection with customer approvals, audits, regulatory requirements, pricing, and contract fulfillment.
  6. Oversight of administrative duties in regards to order entry, scheduling, and account receivables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  7. Ensure all plant positions are completed as required by accounting and assist with financial closings.
  8. Coordinate company participation in trade shows and conferences, including scheduling and meeting arrangements.
  9. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and strategic sales initiatives.
  10. Negotiate contracts and build lasting relationships with customers.
  11. Communicate with Darling Ingredients business lines to capitalize on synergies related to Pet Food activity.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ Years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field; OR
  • Equivalent and comparable work experience in agriculture, ingredient sales, or a related industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in agricultural business or sales is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Oracle platforms for sales, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a self-motivated approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
