CES / AWS is looking for a Quality Inspectorin the Lombard, IL area.

  • Location : Lombard, IL
  • Pay : $60k-$80k
  • Shifts : M-F, 7am-3 : 30pm

Overview

We are seeking a Quality Inspector with strong metrology and aerospace quality experience to support inspection, documentation, and compliance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to work independently while ensuring products meet strict industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections using CMM and a wide range of manual metrology tools .
  • Interpret and apply GD&T to verify part conformance.
  • Ensure inspection activities comply with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain clear, organized records.
  • Support aerospace manufacturing processes by verifying materials, components, and assemblies meet required specifications.
  • Identify nonconformities and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all company policies and safety guidelines.

    • Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with CMM inspection and manual metrology tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparators).
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing , compliance, and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and basic metallurgy principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
