Title : Pharmacist - Specialty

Facility : Fidelity Health Care / Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy

Job Reports to : Pharmacy Manager - Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy

Position Summary

General Summary / Responsibilities :

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard procedures, dispenses medications and pharmaceutical care upon receiving physician orders; performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs; supervises support personnel in all work areas assigned; participates in training pharmacy students, technicians, and other allied professionals.

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and according to standard procedures, oversees / performs total prescription filling process : data entry, inventory management, patient counseling, counting, labeling, filing and billing of prescribed products. Coordinates delivery, as necessary.

Coordinates care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers.

Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain / verify patient financial responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required : Bachelor's degree
