Position: Phlebotomy Technician Program Adjunct Instructor

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long-term plans.
• Contribute to planning and development processes.
• Participate in recruitment and retention of students in both programs.
• Attend required staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
• Evaluate dental assisting curriculum and educational activities.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
• Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
• Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking.
• Supervise and instruct dental assisting students during clinic.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Allied Health or a related field.
• Current credentials of those of a phlebotomist or a medical technologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to make presentations using advanced media technology, such as online learning applications.
• Two (2) years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
