This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. The minimum of one of the following awarded/conferred from a regionally accredited institution:
  • Any bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR
  • Any associate degree and six years of professional experience;
(Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master’s degree. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment.)

OR
  • The equivalent (must request an equivalency review in the application), OR
  • California Community College credential, “Valid for Life” (no longer issued), authorizing service as an instructor in the appropriate discipline; refer to Ed Code § 87355 (If meeting qualifications with this credential, a copy of the valid lifetime credential must be submitted with the application.);

License(s) & Other Requirements Working Environment: Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Teach courses in game design, game programming, game art, animation, and related topics (Unity, 2D/3D design,
level design, storytelling, game mechanics, etc.).
- Conduct the teaching in alignment with the curriculum & syllabus of the Animation & Gaming program of the college.
- Create engaging learning experiences including lectures, labs, critiques, and collaborative projects.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.
- Integrate current technologies and workflows into coursework while being in sync with the curriculum.
- Ensure accessibility and equity in all course materials.
- Stay in communication with the program lead.
