Job Description

Strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills. Strong leadership abilities.

Working knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.

Some bending, climbing, crawling, lifting and shift work will be required.

Ability to accurately perform other duties as assigned.

Understands quality standards as outlined by Client

Preparing necessary paperwork for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies.

Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.

Reviewing, comparing, analyzing and approving products and services to be purchase.

Finding the lowest cost for products / materials.

Maintaining reconciliation for company credit cards.

Maintaining purchasing logs and project material logs.

The buyer will compile information and records, issue purchase orders, negotiate pricing and contracts, vet vendors, resolve issues with vendors and internal departments, assure on-time deliveries and will maintain the supplier database.

Qualifications

2 years of supply chain experience preferably in procurement, vendor management or sourcing with an undergraduate degree.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good hold over MS Excel are necessary.

Requirements

Strategic Buying focuses on defining commercial

strategies and execution of spot orders (greater than

50K) as well as building relationships with the

Business Line. It includes utilizing multiple systems

(SAP, SMART, SharePoint, DocuSign, etc.)

Overall service provider in buying.

  • Able to achieve various State mandated certifications, OSHA, TWIC, and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.
  • Prioritize “Zero is achievable” safety policy in words and actions to protect self, others and the environment.
  • High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
