Microsoft Digital Product Engagement Role

Microsoft Digital (MSD) builds and manages the critical products and services that Microsoft runs on. We boldly pursue big ideas that power transformational advances at Microsoft and for our customers, while helping Microsoft teams work smarter, faster, and more securely every day. Microsoft Digital employees have deep technical and business expertise, customer insights, and a clear point of view that comes from first-hand, large-scale experience with Microsoft and industry solutions. We are engineers, technology leaders and experts, digital transformation change agents, and customer advocates.

We have exciting opportunities for you to innovate, influence, transform, inspire, and grow within our organization and we encourage you to apply to learn more!

Based in Redmond, Washington, the Product Engagement team in Microsoft Digital (MSD) brings together Product Managers who shape and scale the products, platforms, and IT services that Microsoft employees, and administrators rely on every day. In this role, you will work across product engineering, service engineering, and business teams to turn Microsoft's internal needs into secure, reliable, AI-first experiences. You will define success through measurable customer value, adoption, productivity, and satisfaction, alongside service health, security, operating efficiency, and cost. You will combine customer insight, product analytics, and operational data to establish priorities, influence product roadmaps, and represent MSD's Customer Zero perspective with Microsoft product engineering teams. We are looking for someone who can operate across product and service boundaries, create clarity in complex environments, build alignment with senior stakeholders, and drive outcomes from strategy through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own Product Engagement between MSD and our Product Engineering teams to deliver world class solutions to Microsoft users.
  • Work closely with product engineering and service engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable capabilities and to keep them healthy in production.
  • Define the roadmap to bring new and existing solutions that are being developed at Microsoft and being deployed to our users.
  • Lead AI-first solution innovation by identifying where AI and agentic experiences can transform the way employees, developers and IT admins accomplish work.
  • Gather user insights through research, feedback, usage data, and direct engagement, and turn them into a clear, prioritized set of opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into meaningful product capabilities, requirements, and a well-sequenced roadmap.
  • Partner closely across many different product teams to align on shared experiences, dependencies, and a consistent end-to-end journey for users.
  • Partner deeply with engineering, design, research, and business executives to bring end-to-end product experiences from concept to launch and ongoing iteration.
  • Communicate direction, progress, and results clearly to partners and leadership, and build alignment across a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Mentor peers and raise the craft of product management and service management across the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field AND 5+ Years working in Enterprise IT, Administration or Service Management to deliver IT services to end users.
  • 5+ years experience gathering customer insights and translating them into product vision, requirements, and roadmaps
  • Ability to partner across product, engineering, design, service engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience driving AI-powered assistance, automation, or similar product experiences is preferred.
  • Knowledge of experimentation, customer research, product analytics, prioritization frameworks, and outcome-based road-mapping is preferred
