This position is located in the city of Sacramento.
Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) in the General Fund/Federal Fund Reporting Unit, the Associate Accounting Analyst will perform as a staff specialist assisting the Accounting Administrator I, (Specialist) with highly complex fiscal activities that have multifunctional and/ or multi-geographical impact. This position will have the responsibility for completion of highly complex fiscal activities relating to federal funding including completion of the complex monthly, quarterly, and annual federal reporters for 5 formula grants and 3 discretionary grants. This position is also responsible for the complex accountability, cash management and financial reporting of all Federal funds of the Department; various Special Funds; and Statewide Cost Allocation Program (SWCAP) transfers. This position will be responsible for working with internal and external auditors in regard to the federal funding and grants.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbents must live and work in California. Working Conditions
The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
