Job Description

CNC Lathe Machinist III / Programmer

Are you a skilled machinist who enjoys taking a project from raw material to a finished, high-quality product? We’re looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist III / Programmer to join our team, where you’ll work with advanced multi-axis lathes, cutting-edge tooling, and modern programming software to deliver precision parts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC multi-axis lathes.

  • Take metal from raw stock to finished product with minimal supervision.

  • Plan and lay out work directly from customer drawings and specifications.

  • Determine proper speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining sequences.

  • Perform setups, make trial cuts, and fine-tune adjustments as needed.

  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, vision systems, etc.) to ensure accuracy.

  • Apply trigonometry and shop math to calculate complex angles and dimensions.

  • Work with modern software like Fusion360 (preferred) or Mastercam.

  • Contribute to a team environment while maintaining a strong personal work ethic.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred (but we’re open to less with the right skills and drive).

  • Strong technical knowledge of machining practices and cutting tools.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a skilled team.
