Inventory Coordinator

The Inventory Coordinator performs clerical and logistical duties for supply and inventory control required to support hospital operations. Facilitates the flow of supplies and equipment required for each surgical procedure in support of delivery of patient care. Coordinates, purchases, stores, maintains inventory of sterile supplies and instruments. Assists in suite preparation through inventory, stocking, ordering and gathering of necessary supplies and equipment.

Your every day

• Monitors, stocks, transports supplies and / or equipment consistent with prescribed policies and procedures.
• Uses electronic handheld device to maintain accurate inventory counts and drive replenishment.
• Ensures timely delivery of stock / inventory as needed.
• Ensures stock expiration is minimized with adherence to stock rotation guidelines and best practices.
• Manages inventory which may include min / max review, daily monitoring of item changes, new product implementation, managing item location changes, coordinating item conversions, planning and managing inventory burn-down.
• Engages customers on a regular basis to ensure good service.
• Maintains the necessary professional presence to effectively interact with clinicians, administrators, colleagues and vendors.

Your must haves

Required : High School Diploma / GED or equivalent OR 2 years of previous experience working with shipping, receiving, picking, logistics, distribution, purchasing, warehousing or inventory management.
