Description
Wellstar is expanding its footprint with new hospital facilities in Columbia and Paulding Counties. We are seeking a seasoned IT Project Coordinator to lead technology planning and execution for these new builds. The role is critical to ensuring the seamless integration of IT systems into the construction process and hospital operations. Key Responsibilities - Act as primary liaison with vendors, managing relationships and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and services.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, verify installations, and address issues on the ground.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams (networking, systems, clinical apps, desktop support, telecom) to align technical requirements.
- Track and update detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Oversee installation and testing of low voltage systems (data cabling, nurse call, security, AV).
- Support operational readiness activities, including IT validation and staff training coordination. Compliance & Quality Assurance (All Roles) :
- Ensure all IT installations meet Wellstar standards and healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, Joint Commission).
- Validate systems prior to go-live and support transition to operational teams.
