We are seeking an experienced Director of Project Management, in our Florida market, to lead and scale the project management function for a fast-paced signage and environmental graphics organization. This leadership role will oversee the full lifecycle of complex signage programs-from design coordination and permitting to fabrication, logistics, and installation-ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Director of Project Management will lead a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers while partnering closely with sales, design, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams. This role requires a strategic leader with deep operational knowledge of the signage industry and strong client-facing capabilities.
Director of Project Management Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.

Establish project management standards, workflows, and best practices.

Set team performance goals and track KPIs related to schedule, cost control, margin improvement, and client satisfaction.

Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Project Oversight

Oversee the execution of large-scale and multi-location signage programs.

Ensure projects progress smoothly through design, engineering, permitting, production, and installation phases.

Manage project risk, resource allocation, and timeline forecasting.

Resolve escalated issues and remove roadblocks for project teams.
Operational Excellence

Implement and optimize project management tools, reporting, and dashboards.

Standardize documentation, scheduling processes, and client communication.

Collaborate with production and installation teams to align capacity and scheduling.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients and strategic accounts.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Provide executive-level project reporting and updates.
Financial Oversight
-
Monitor project budgets, change orders, margin control and profitability.

Partner with finance and operations to improve cost forecasting and margin control.

Ensure projects are delivered within scope and contractual agreements.
Director of Project Management Required Qualifications
-
8+ years of project management experience in commercial/architectural signage and/or environmental graphics.

3-5+ years leading project management teams.

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale signage rollouts, multi-site programs, or national accounts.

Strong knowledge of fabrication, permitting, logistics, and installation workflows.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
-
Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, or related field.

PMP or other project management certification.

Experience with project management software (Smartsheet, Monday, Asana, Wrike, etc.).

Familiarity with manufacturing or custom fabrication environments.
Director of Project Management Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: $120,000 - $145,000+ (depending on experience)
