Description

Our heavy civil contracting client is seeking a skilled Civil Project Manager with extensive experience in heavy civil construction and a strong track record leading large-scale infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for full lifecycle project execution including cost, schedule, subcontractor management, change orders, and reporting. The ideal candidate brings a strong leadership presence, excellent communication, and deep hands-on knowledge of underground utility installation (water/storm/sanitary).

Strong emphasis on candidates who demonstrate long-term career stability and a consistent track record of commitment to prior employers.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects.

-Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

-Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

-Track and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.

-Support construction scheduling and progress tracking.

-Develop logistics plans and V-Plans to support project execution.

-Provide CAD support for project layouts, utilities, and construction plans.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

-Heavy Civil Project Management (5–10 years) with a local heavy civil construction contractor (extensive experience required).

-Underground Utilities Expertise (Mandatory): Installing and managing: Water main, Storm sewer, Sanitary sewer systems

-HCSS Proficiency (Mandatory): HCSS HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob

-Large Project Experience: Proven ability to manage projects >$20M.
