Join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing technology in spectrometer-based sensors. This role involves managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, overseeing system engineering tasks from conceptual design to performance testing, and contributing to cutting-edge research and development.
Responsibilities- Manage a multidisciplinary engineering team in the development of spectrometer-based sensors.
- Oversee system engineering responsibilities, including conceptual design and quality testing of instrumentation.
- Support applications development and customer support.
- Participate in diverse research and development areas to innovate and advance the field.
- Interpret principles, theories, and concepts of sensor design.
- Lead all project aspects, including staff management, scheduling, and setting priorities.
- Adhere to and support the implementation and improvement of safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure intellectual property standards are followed.
- Initiate and maintain contacts with key technical resources.
- Interact with other researchers to share scientific knowledge and ensure proper documentation of research activities.
- Strong organizational skills to keep project teams focused and track progress.
- Proficiency in formal project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying project needs, challenges, and solutions.
- Leadership capabilities to drive projects forward and influence without formal authority.
- Experience in electronic design and integration with hardware/software programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Project management experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Experience with SAP.
- Ability to write clear reports for government clients.
- Experience in the banknote industry is preferable.
- Master's degree or advanced degree preferred.
This position is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote. Relocation assistance is available. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
