Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated professional responsible for planning and scheduling large/mega projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. This position requires the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision. The role is based in Houston, TX, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, thriving economy, and dynamic job market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop schedules and analyze activities.
- Identify coordination issues where safety and schedule may conflict.
- Develop, monitor, and update schedules by obtaining updates through meetings, construction coordination interviews, and field verification.
- Maintain a complete understanding of Earned Value and Project Productivity.
- Monitor and maintain the change notice/change order management systems. Assist in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.
- Assist clients and teammates in developing construction and contract strategies for project constructability.
- Assist in quantity analysis for estimating purposes.
- Collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders with professionalism.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- Perform other daily, weekly, monthly, or special projects as assigned.
- BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or related field experience.
- - years of Primavera P or similar scheduling experience. Midstream and Downstream experience preferred.
- Experience with large projects, such as petrochemical projects.
- Extensive experience in Major Projects with a growth portfolio of USD Billion.
- Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- Understanding of customer deliverable expectations and preferences.
- Ability to set priorities and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and correspondence with engineering disciplines and/or contractors.
- Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.
- Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of other disciplines' deliverable development for coordination of efforts.
- Understanding of schedule constraints for project controls deliverables.
- Experience in scheduling professional service hours and assessing project controls work quality.
- Proficient in Primavera P and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
- Ability to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
- Ability to work with a team, take direction, adhere to schedules, and follow company policies.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines and prioritize work.
- Ability to work as a key member of an integrated project team.
