A well‑established, privately held commercial general contractor is seeking a professional and experienced Superintendent to join its growing team. This company is known for its high standards of quality, strong safety culture, and commitment to building long-term relationships with both clients and employees. Additional company details will be shared during the interview process.
Job Summary
The Superintendent will oversee all field operations from pre‑construction through project completion. This role serves as the daily on-site representative of the company—ensuring quality workmanship, enforcing safety standards, managing site logistics, and maintaining professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of field operations, project planning, logistics, and daily execution.
- Review construction drawings, identify discrepancies, and coordinate solutions with Project Managers and subcontractors.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, including field office and storage areas.
- Create and update project schedules, including detailed 3‑week or 6‑week lookahead schedules.
- Conduct weekly foremen and safety meetings; reinforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
- Manage project documentation in Procore, including daily reports, photos, inspections, and logs.
- Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams.
- Represent the company on-site with professionalism, reliability, and a clean, presentable appearance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Must have prior experience supporting OSHPD/HCAI-compliant healthcare construction projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of project operations simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of construction documents, safety regulations, and scheduling.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Procore.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized jobsite.
