Full job description

The program director shall have at least one years of experience or training in a mental health setting, one year of which shall include experience or training in program development for mentally disordered.

State regulation require that program director shall be one of the following. If the candidate does not have at least one of these, the State will reject such application:

• Social worker.
• Psychiatric technician.
• Recreation therapist.
• Occupational therapist.
• Art therapist.
• Dance therapist.
• Music therapist.
• Licensed vocational nurse.
• Registered nurse.
• Licensed psychologist.
• Physician.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in program management, particularly in the behavioral health field.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the behavioral health field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Program Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the STP IMD, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of program.
- Provide leadership and guidance to program staff.
- Collaborate with administrator to ensure program goals are met.
- Monitor program budget and ensure financial resources are allocated appropriately.
- Conduct regular program evaluations to assess effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in behavioral health programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
