Are you a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP passionate about delivering comprehensive care? As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality medical care, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create meaningful outcomes for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
· Medication Management: Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
· Patient Education: Explain medication benefits, risks, and alternatives to patients and their families.
· Health Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests to develop individualized care plans.
· Integrated Care: Collaborate with mental health professionals and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient support.
· Care Plan Development: Create and adjust treatment plans to align with patient needs and progress.
· Health Promotion: Provide counseling and education on wellness, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with Chrysalis Health policies.
· Adhere to state and federal regulations, ensuring all practices meet legal and ethical standards.
· Respond to urgent situations with professionalism and compassion.
· Participate in organizational initiatives, including emergency response assignments (e.g., hurricanes, pandemics).
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
· Licensure: Current Florida PMHNP license.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP with children and adolescents.
· Knowledge of psychiatric principles and medication management best practices.
· Valid Medicaid Provider Number and appropriate malpractice insurance.
· Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
· Strong knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention.
· Bilingual skills are a plus.
