Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Position Summary The position will assist with the preparation of nurseries and maintain the upkeep in greenhouses to include planting, recording data accurately, harvesting, crossing, and irrigation in a timely and efficient manner that support the Small Grains Breeding and Genetics research program. This position will also assist in laboratory activities as needed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

• Experienced in recording data, seed processing, greenhouse maintenance, and nursery preparation.
• Team Player

Physical Demands

• Work in the field under varied climate conditions.
• Travel to UGA Research Centers across the state of Georgia during planting and harvesting season.
• Work under heat conditions in the summer.
• Lift up to pounds.

• Process seeds of harvested samples.
• Prepare seeds for planting.
