As the Administrative Intern, you'll join a collaborative, interdisciplinary research team on the Baby's First Years study-a groundbreaking project exploring how unconditional cash transfers shape child development, family well-being, and economic behavior.

What You'll Do:

Data Preparation & Management - 40%

- Support cleaning, organizing, and managing datasets for the sixth-year follow-up and longitudinal data from years one through six.

Data Analysis Support - 25%

- Assist with quantitative analyses by preparing datasets, running basic statistical procedures, and generating tables and summaries.

Research & Manuscript Support - 15%

- Contribute to manuscript revisions, prepare tables and figures, and assist with journal submissions.

Study Preparation & Coordination - 10%

- Support analytical and logistical planning for the eighth-year follow-up data collection.

Administrative & Project Support - 10%

- Provide administrative coordination, documentation, and general support to project investigators.

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor's degree providing strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

- No prior professional experience required; equivalent combinations may be considered.

- Preferred: Coursework in psychology, public policy, economics, sociology, or related fields.

- Familiarity with Excel, R, Stata, SPSS, and/or survey/longitudinal data.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Professionalism and ability to handle confidential data.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $22.84. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
