Over 85% of our families are living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today./ppThe purchasing department is responsible for addressing the purchase needs of all CAMBAs programs by adhering to funder and agency purchase regulations./ppLocation: 1720 Church Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226/ppWhat The Senior Purchasing Coordinator Does:/pulliFollows CAMBAs Procurement Policy/liliResearches and expands the agencys M/WBE vendor list selecting from the NY City and NY State databases/liliResearches and expands the agencys Purchasing group vendors selecting from their catalogs./liliAttends M/WBE vendor recruitment events and conferences sponsored by CAMBA funding agencies./liliInterviews new vendors/liliCreates new vendor accounts/liliAssists with M/WBE contractual compliance/liliCommunicates with vendors to request required documents and reviews submitted documents for completion and compliance with procurement rules and regulations./liliObtains signed letters of intent, COIs and other required documentation./liliMaintains the vendor M/WBE Certificates and verifies M/WBE Status./liliAssists with keeping records on contract requirements regarding purchasing, vendors and purchasing groups./liliGenerates reports as needed/liliMaintains up-to-date file system. Enters data into the purchasing system./liliCreates and facilitates procurement presentations and trainings on programs, policies, and compliance for staff and vendors. Assist vendors with procurement regulations, processing, and payments./liliUpdates CAMBAs MWBE Vendor List/Preferred Vendor List/liliCommunicates and shares vendor information with CAMBA Staff/liliAssists with purchasing/procurement support (i.e.-reconcile purchase orders and invoices)./liliMaintains professional relationships with vendors./liliComplies with all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable information./liliMaintains accurate files of paperwork of all orders (i.e. - copies of Purchase Order forms, Purchase Request forms./liliMay track packages and follow up on back orders./liliMay assist with following up on programs purchase request forms./liliMay answers and screens incoming telephone calls as needed./liliTasks may be modified, expanded, and/or assigned over time./li/ulpMinimum Education/Experience Required:/pulliAssociates degree and two years experience./liliExperience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)./liliStrong typing skills necessary./liliGood written verbal communication./liliComputer skills./liliLift and move boxes./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliKnowledge of non-profit purchasing processes./liliKnowledge of M/WBE city and/or state certified./li/ulpCompensation: $55,000- $60,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate.
