Job description

EH&S Specialist Direct Hire

Onsite Santa Maria, CA 68-75k

Conduct inspections to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve safety.
Manage health and safety programs (emergency response, training, occupational health, safety equipment, maintenance).
Respond to incidents and maintain accurate records.
Assist with environmental programs and sample collection.
Manage hazardous waste and SDS records.
Develop visual aids and presentations for training.
Participate in ISO 14001 and 45001 audits.
Conduct training on best practices, hazards, and regulations.
Support second shift as needed.

Requirements Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (safety science, environmental health and safety, or industrial hygiene preferred).
OSHA or similar EHS certification preferred.
4+ years of EHS experience (2+ years in manufacturing preferred).
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ANSI regulations.
Ability to interpret regulations and safety data sheets.
Willingness to travel to other California locations.
