Senior Manager Of Quality Assurance

In this critical role, you will lead the establishment of a World-Class quality culture at Daikin with the mission to turn quality into a competitive advantage, ultimately on a global enterprise basis, while reducing fielded Quality events and Company warranty costs. This is done through the implementation of a broad, systematic approach to ensure that products consistently meet quality and regulatory standards through planned and systematic activities as part of an improved Product Introduction (NPI) process, including development of quality assurance during development and control measures to be implemented in production and test. What You Will Do :

• Establish a process for the application of Quality Assurance Engineering expertise and methodologies for the New Product Introduction (NPI) DP Process of Quality Components including :
• Product Readiness Reviews
• Development of Control Plans for new product
• Generation of Manufacturing Check Samples (MCS)
• Closure of MCS findings
• Provide official hand-off to QC Team for execution
• Responsible for the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the process
• Formulates and maintains quality assurance system improvement objectives
• Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products
• Collaborates with engineering managers to ensure new products meet quality standards
• Oversees the quality assurance engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements
• Supports the development and initiation of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
• Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market conditions
• Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities
• Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team
• Establish basic quality disciplines (problem solving, data collection, prioritization and metrics)
• Develops initial and subsequent modifications to the quality improvement program
• Reviews data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities
• Manages the Quality Assurance Engineers and their effectiveness
• Conducts management meetings with Quality Assurance Managers
• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards
