Job description

QA/QC Lead

As the QA/QC Lead, you will serve as the site quality leader, acting as the primary liaison across Operations, Process Engineering, Technical teams, and customer-facing groups. This role is responsible for driving quality strategy, ensuring compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will oversee both quality assurance systems and hands-on quality control activities, ensuring the integrity of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Drive integration of customer-specific requirements (CSRs and Supplier Quality standards) into site processes, ensuring consistent compliance.
  • Establish and lead site-level quality performance metrics, ensuring accurate measurement, visibility, and communication across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional investigations into quality events (off-spec conditions, customer complaints, SCARs), ensuring timely resolution and systemic corrective actions.
  • Champion data-driven quality improvement initiatives focused on yield, productivity, cost of non-conformance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate and lead customer and supplier engagements, representing site quality performance and capabilities.
  • Provide functional guidance and support for quality-related data systems (SAP, LIMS) to ensure data integrity and usability.
  • Own and lead the internal audit program and document control system, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Technical, Optima, and R&D teams to improve first-time-right capability and overall product quality.
  • Act as the quality lead for site-level Management of Change (MOC) and New Product Launch activities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and subject matter expertise to promote strong quality practices across the site.
  • Drive and sustain a proactive quality culture through influence, training, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role involves a combination of laboratory, production floor, and office settings. It is a hands-on leadership role with frequent interaction across operations and technical teams. The fast-paced manufacturing environment requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution. Adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE in production and lab areas is mandatory.
