  • Ability to accurately measure inside diameters (ID), outside diameters (OD), bores, threads, and lengths of components.

  • Demonstrated experience performing quality inspection, quality assurance, and quality checks on mechanical parts.
  • Ability to identify nonconforming parts and document nonconforming conditions clearly and accurately.
  • Experience working around machining processes and familiarity with threads, bores, and precision machined surfaces.
  • Computer literacy, including experience uploading and managing drawings and documentation in digital systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for recording measurements, tracking inspections, and maintaining quality records.
  • Ability to identify metals and understand material differences relevant to pump and rotating equipment components.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, busy shop environment with pumps, rotating equipment, and related parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a machine shop environment supporting manual machinists and pump mechanics.
  • Background in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with exposure to quality assurance practices.
  • Experience with visual inspection techniques and recognizing defects in machined and fabricated components.
  • Familiarity with inside and outside diameter measurements using various precision instruments.
  • Exposure to rotating equipment and pump overhaul or repair work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, pump mechanics, and welders in a team-oriented shop.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards in all inspections.
