Job Summary :
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and performance of precision optical components and assemblies. This position supports the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and collaborates with cross-functional teams to uphold rigorous quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. The technician will perform inspections, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
You Will :
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, interferometers).
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), Receiving Inspections, In-Process Inspections, and Final Product Inspections.
- Verify product conformance to specifications and customer requirements prior to shipment.
- Investigate non-conforming materials and products to determine root causes.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical data from manufacturing processes to identify trends and anomalies.
- Generate quality reports and dashboards to communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
- Support shipment readiness with data validation, traceability checks, and conformance verification.
- Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, procedures, and records in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and process evidence.
- Train and mentor new employees in inspection techniques, quality standards, and proper use of measurement tools to ensure consistency and accuracy across the team.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management to support departmental goals, continuous improvement initiatives, or cross-functional projects.
- May work in cleanroom environments and low-light conditions to inspect sensitive optical components.
