Quality Control Inspector (Part-Time)Location: Mesquite, TX
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Part-Time, 3 Days per Week
Experience Required: Minimum 3 YearsQuality Control InspectorPenmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for a manufacturing and heavy industrial repair facility in Mesquite, Texas. This part-time opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in quality inspection, mechanical assemblies, machining, fabrication, or rotating equipment.The Quality Control Inspector will work directly on the shop floor to ensure products and rebuilt equipment meet quality, dimensional, and performance standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction through detailed inspections and quality documentation.Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured and rebuilt mechanical equipment
  • Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, fits, alignments, and assembly specifications
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and height gauges
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials or products
  • Generate inspection reports and maintain quality records
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Inspect weldments and support quality verification processes as needed
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and quality procedures
  • Maintain calibration records for inspection and measurement equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and inspection processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, industrial repair, or related environments
  • Strong understanding of measurement techniques, tolerances, and inspection procedures
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with mechanical assemblies, rotating equipment, or industrial components preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a shop environment
  • Must have previous job shop experience
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Pay & Schedule

  • $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Part-Time Schedule: 3 days per week
